That’s why we’re proud to welcome Rye Roasters of Templeton, Iowa to the Bean Armory family, bringing their small-batch coffee straight to our local customers here in Guthrie Center.

Like Bean Armory, Rye Roasters is a husband-and-wife operation rooted in passion, hard work, and Iowa values. Their story is one many small businesses know well: starting from the ground up, learning through experience, and committing to quality even when it takes more time and intention.

Their coffee reflects that mindset.

Rye Roasters crafts small-batch coffee roasted with care and smoked in tradition. Using reclaimed oak rye barrel wood sourced from Templeton’s legendary whiskey heritage, their process creates a bold, smooth cup with just a subtle hint of smoke. It’s not meant to overpower—it’s meant to add depth, history, and character.

That respect for process feels familiar to us.
